If you’ve seen “What Not To Wear,” you know what kind of services I offer. My passion is to help people who may not have an intuitive eye for fashion and style. I want to work with you to develop a style that’s all your own, and one that works easily with the daily demands of your lifestyle.
I sincerely believe that you, like every woman, are beautiful and should feel the best you possibly can.
We women know that we are each made distinctly different, and we each have different fashion needs to complement our body shapes. The good news is that the retail industry has answered our pleas for silhouettes (clothing shapes) that fit different body types. But the problem is that the retail industry hasn’t taken the next step: providing education to consumers like you about which silhouettes work for your body type. And that’s where I come in. I absolutely love to teach people what will complement their body types while de-emphasizing the aspects of their bodies they might want to hide.
I am a graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in fashion merchandising management. I spent six years at Nike’s world headquarters, first working on apparel development teams and then as a global apparel services project coordinator. Based on my professional experience, I have a multi-dimensional perspective on the fashion industry and its workings, from product development to sales.
Besides my industry experience, I’m also a self-taught student of body types and styling. I’ve read and studied just about every fashion book out there, and I've tested all the prevailing theories—so I could develop my own honest and efficient formula, one that’s simple, easy and WORKS!
What does this mean to you? It means I want to pass along my knowledge, teaching you how to shop, what to look for—and who to listen to for advice and who not to.
I’ve met the most amazing people on my journey to being a style consultant, and the gift I'm able to pass along to my clients makes me feel I’m giving them something they sincerely appreciate. It’s that kind of feedback that drives me to help even more people. I hope for the chance to meet and help you, too.
Sincerely,
Sara Dahlquist
